Lunar launches new 8-foot Quasar 696

Lunar unveils its fantastic new eight-foot-wide family tourer with three rooms, the Quasar 696.

The new eight-foot-wide, lightweight, twin-axle family caravan has a vast amount of storage space in all areas.

Lunar's second eight feet wide Quasar is a family tourer with three distinct rooms and many beautiful layout elements.

It has an L-shaped lounge with a television on the nearside wall. The kitchen is L-shaped with an enormous amount of surface space. It has a Dometic190-litre fridge freezer opposite the main kitchen area.

At the rear is a children's room with bunks and a sizeable wedge-shaped table with seating for three or four depending on the sizes of the kids. The table converts to two more beds.

A sliding door closes off this room from the central shower-dressing room. The shower and toilet are on the offside; four shelves are beside the shower.

On the near side, the washbasin location is almost alcove style, with plenty of floor space. A large cabinet is beneath the basin. Alongside it is the wardrobe, with space for the lounge's freestanding table to stow away, secured by clips on the forward wall.

Every inch of space has been used everywhere in the 696. There are two shelves on the wall that divides the kitchen from the shower room and two huge shelves in the dresser alongside the door.

The kitchen has a vast amount of space in a cleverly designed configuration of drawers and cabinets.

Four deep drawers are in the sector of the kitchen that forms the L-shape, A cabinet is beneath the sink. Deep lockers are above and below the fridge-freezer.

Verdict

With an MTPLM figure of just 1680 kg and a price of £23,999, this eight-foot-wide family caravan competes well on price, and its low weight for its length gives it enormous appeal.
