Licensed to thrill at Beaulieu

To celebrate 50 years of the iconic James Bond films, the world-famous National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is hosting Bond in Motion, an exhibition of 50 vehicles from Bond’s history.

Not only has Bond in Motion recently welcomed the Aston Martin DB5 from GoldenEye, two Honda CRF250R motorcycles straight from the set of the new Bond film, Skyfall, have arrived ahead of the film’s release in October.

The action-packed exhibition displays Bond vehicles throughout the decades with vehicles from the humblest parachute to the most iconic, gadget-laden car, plus video footage of some of the most memorable stunts.
There are a host of treasures including Goldfinger’s 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III, the iconic Lotus Esprit from 'The Spy Who Loved Me', the buzzing autogyro from 'You Only Live Twice' and the Bede Acrostar jet from 'Octopussy'.

Cars used in films starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig all feature in the exhibition and there are a few record-breakers on display, such as the Glastron GT-150 speedboat from 'Live And Let Die' which achieved a record-breaking 110ft jump and the Aston Martin DBS stunt car from 'Casino Royale' which holds a Guinness World Record for flipping through 7¾ turns during a stunt sequence.

Bond in Motion is open daily at Beaulieu from now until the end of December. Entry to the exhibition is included in the price of admission to the Beaulieu attraction, which features the high-level Monorail, World of Top Gear, open-top London bus, Wheels pod ride, Palace House – Lord Montagu’s family home – Beaulieu Abbey and Palace Gardens.
