Knaus Launches Six New Caravan Models at 2017 NEC Caravan Show

Six new models arrive from the giant Knaus stable in Germany. They were unveiled to the public at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC.

Weinsberg CaraOne 390 UK

The Weinsberg CaraOne 390 UK has a nearside door, a two-metre-long double bed at the front, a kitchen on the nearside and a dining area in the rear offside corner which can be converted to a double bed.

A combined shower-toilet compartment is in the rear nearside corner; the toilet is the Dometic ceramic-lined model.

Kitchen equipment is a three-burner hob, a Dometic fridge, a large cabinet and a generous-sized cutlery drawer. Truma blown air.

The 390 is £14,999, has a body length of four metres, an overall length of 5.92m and is 2.2m wide. Its MIRO is 890 and its MTPLM is 1100kg

Tabberts

Two Tabbert models were unveiled. The PEP 540 (£25,599) is a single axle model with twin beds at the front and a U-shaped lounge at the rear. The door is on the offside.

The kitchen is on the nearside with a three-burner inline hob, three big drawers and a Dometic tall, slimline fridge-freezer. The shower-toilet compartment is on the offside. The heating system is Truma blown air.

Style points are lighting concealed within shelves that run under the lockers above the lounge, turquoise kitchen cabinet doors and a stone-effect kitchen splashback.

The turquoise theme continues on the curtains, backrests insets and on the exterior graphics.

The PEP 540 has an overall length of 7.85m, its body length is 5.6m, its width is 2.32m. The MIRO is 1450kg; the MTPLM is 1700kg. ATC stability control is standard.

The Tabbert PEP 490 (£23,799) has an overall length of 7.3m, a body length of 5.32m and is also 2.32m wide. Its MIRO is 1350kg; its MTPLM is 1500kg.

This model is characterised by shades of red on the outside and in cushions and backrest insets. A double bed is at the front with a combined shower-toilet room alongside it.

Kitchen equipment is Dometic's slimline, tall fridge-freezer and an online three-burner hob. Like the 540, the heating system is Truma blown air. The lounge is U-shaped.

These two models have 48mm-thick sandwich-construction floors sandwich; the roof is 50mm thick. In addition to an awning light, there is a strip of light running along the whole side above window level.

Knaus Travelino

On a lightweight chassis AL-K0 chassis, the boxy-bodied Travelino is an ultra lightweight caravan which uses unique construction to achieve its light weight of 650kg MIRO and 750 kg MTPLM.

The body framework is made of glass fibre; this frame gives the body its strength. The panels are sandwich construction with GRP skin, a thin wallboard and insulation material between the two.

Its price is £18,499. Its body length is 4m; its overall length is 5.1m; its width is 2.15m.

This model has an offside door.

The layout gives you a transverse bed at the front, an L-shaped dining area in the rear and, in the near offside corner, a toilet-washbasin room with a bi-fold door which opens outwards to increase space in the compartment. A wash basin hinges down under a mirrored cabinet. This model does not have a shower.

Lighting runs around the edges of all the top lockers which are fabric-coated on the base, top and sides.

Knaus Starclass 695

Starclass is the flagship of the Knaus range. This new luxury Alde-heated model has a U-shaped lounge and twin single beds, a Dometic 190-litre fridge freezer and a large full-width rear shower room containing a wardrobe plus a full-height shelved unit. Its overall length is 8m, its body length is 6.3m; it's 2.5m wide; it rides on twin axles. Knaus MIRO is 1735 kg; MTPLM is 2000 kg.
