How to set up a CL with the Caravan and Motorhome Club

If you've ever fancied running a campsite, now could be the perfect time to set up your own five-pitch Certificated Location (CL), says the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

With UK staycations increasing in popularity, the Club — which has over 200 campsites and 2,250 CLs in its network — has seen unprecedented levels of demand and many of its campsites have been fully booked for several weeks. For business owners with spare land, there's a great opportunity to turn it into a new revenue stream, under the guidance of the Club.

Certificated Locations (CLs) are small five-pitch campsites often set in rural areas, on farms or in the grounds of public houses. The Club is able to issue annual certificates to land owners who wish to run a CL, offer guidance on setting one up, and will promote the site on its website, UK Sites app, Sites Directory and handbook.
