Hendra handed award to recognise its ‘best park’ status

A HOLIDAY park in Cornwall is now the proud owner of a trophy declaring it as the Out&About Best Park 2008.

Staff at Hendra Holiday Park near Newquay received the award from Out&AboutLive.co.uk Online and Parks Sales Manager, Diane Roberts.

The Parks Awards 2008, run by Out&About in association with The Caravan Club, named the best parks in 10 different categories last year.

Judges said: “Hendra, close to Newquay, is a holiday resort in itself, with the emphasis on catering for families. Everything from swimming pool complexes to several restaurants is at Hendra.

“And because the park is such a huge setting, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, its appeal is also one of calm and tranquillity.”

The park was also the winner of the Family Entertainment category of the competition.
