Don't Leave Valuables in Your Caravan, Warn Durham Police

A spate of burglaries from static caravans in Weardale, County Durham prompted the local police to warn owners not leave their valuables in them when away.
Thieves broke into 30 static caravans in the several villages in the valley and stole jewellery, TVs, gadgets and alcohol, police reported. The burglars broke through windows and doors and made off with the items.
County Durham police have arrested one person in connection to the thefts and released them on bail while they carry out further investigations. The break-ins began in early December.
