Cornwall's always got something going on throughout the year. Here's a rundown of dates to stick in your diary to make sure you don't miss a thing!
1 May
Padstow May Day. Padstow people from all over the world return for the biggest day of festivities in the town’s calendar.
4-5 May
English National Surf Championships, Newquay.
6 May
St Ives May Day. The town is filled with parades.
8 May
Helston Flora Day. Dancing in the streets from 7am, and Terry Wogan’s not in sight.
24 May to 2 June
Fal River Festival. More than 150 events including a fish festival, wildlife walks and gig racing, all in the Falmouth area.
25 May to 2 June
Open Studios Cornwall. See inside the homes and workshops of artists and crafts people.
14-16 June
Looe Lugger Regatta – traditional two-masted sailing boats in the bay.
22-23 June
Fowey Mussel Fest. Seafood, pirates, entertainment and Fowey River Mussels.
24 July
RNAS Culdrose Air Day 2013 near Helston. See behind the scenes of the Fleet Air Arm.
30 July to 9 August
St Endellion Summer Music Festival, Port Isaac. Internationally famous classic music fest.
6-9 September
Newquay Fish Festival. Attracts thousands of visitors to try delicious fish dishes and watch local chefs in action.
12-15 September
Heritage Open Days. A chance to see inside some special heritage properties not usually open to the public go to heritageopendays.org.uk
