Concierge Camping set to offer a new level of caravan campsite comfort

Kick back, relax and live the high life on Chichester's newest caravan site: Concierge Camping

A new luxury caravanning campsite has opened its doors in West Sussex, offering visitors impressive facilities and a level of attention to detail that’s an industry first.

Concierge Camping's spacious, hardstanding pitches are situated on the Rather Estate, which was mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is steeped in history. Each one is fully serviced with electric, TV and satellite facilities. Pets are welcome, too.

Lord and Lady Hodgkin, Guy and Tracey to us caravanners, bought the estate in 2011 and have spent the last four years landscaping and developing the luxury touring park.Caravan magazine on Facebook

How luxurious is it? Think breakfast baskets delivered direct to your pitch, nestled near three Grade II listed buildings, surrounded by the South Downs and with resident peacocks on-site.

There’s also a heated shower block with personalised toiletries, Sonos sound system, bespoke luxury showers and more.

Concierge Camping facilities

Campsite owner, Tracey Hodgkin, explains more: “Having travelled a lot in Europe, I never used the facilities on site because they were not up to scratch. On the estate here, it’s the perfect place of luxury.

“We set Concierge Camping up to demonstrate that camping and caravanning does not have to be roughing it; it can be a luxury experience also. There is no need to shower in cold, damp and sometimes quite unhygienic facilities.

“The response we had for our opening weekend was amazing. One visitor has described the smell of the toilet block as ‘delicious.’ Another quote was that ‘the showers are like being in a rainforest.’ Our favourite has to be: ‘If Carlsberg was a campsite, it would be called Concierge.’

"What we’ve gone for with the pricing is an all inclusive, fixed price per pitch to accommodate up to six persons including pets, up to three dogs, with no hidden extras. That way, people won't be caught out by extra fees. Things like awnings are all covered in the original cost.

“This is a totally new concept in camping – the piped music throughout the facilities, for example, is quite magical. We are so proud of what we have done here, and we can’t wait to share it with others.”

Pitches are priced between £28 and £48 depending on outfit size, time of the season and demand. For more information visit conciergecamping.co.uk or call 01243 573118.
