CaSSOA and Sold Secure team up to fight caravan crime

The Caravan Storage Site Owners’ Association (CaSSOA) and Sold Secure are combining their industry knowledge of storage and security products for buyer benefit.

Complementing each other’s offerings within the caravanning world, the two companies will be promoting safety and security issues together to give customers as much information as possible in order to keep their caravan exactly where it should be: in storage or on site.

Becci Rooke, CaSSOA administrator, told Caravan magazine: “The partnership between CaSSOA and Sold Secure, both non-profit organisations, presents an excellent opportunity to combine forces to work towards their shared vision of reducing caravan crime.

“By working together and sharing knowledge to improve and promote high standards of both caravan security devices and caravan storage facilities, the partnership represented the chance to provide the ultimate protection from caravan theft.”

CaSSOA (The Caravan Storage Site Owners’ Association) was formed in 1999 with the aim of reducing caravan theft by promoting the highest levels of security on caravan storage sites. Since 1999, CaSSOA has grown significantly and now represents and accredits over 400 secure caravan storage facilities across the UK.

Sold Secure is a company dedicated to reducing the risk of crime by the assessment of security products through manual attack testing,

Manufacturers and suppliers can apply to have their products approved by Sold Secure. Products which have been satisfactorily assessed may bear the coveted Sold Secure Approved quality mark.

Steffan George of Sold Secure says "We’re delighted to partner up with CaSSOA who we believe have the same ultimate goal as ourselves in terms of working in collaboration to reduce crime."
