Avondale improves spares service

AVONDALE Coachcraft has claimed their spare parts service is the best in the business after dramatically reducing the waiting times for spares.

The company has introduced a new supply strategy for spare parts, which took the number of overdue items from 1243 last year to just 20 this year. And Avondale’s managing director Chris Bell is now calling on the National Caravan Council to pressure other manufacturers to improve their spare parts service too.

“It would be unrealistic for the caravan industry to promise automotive industry standards,” he said “But I see no reason why customers should have to wait eight weeks for body panels and upholstery and six weeks for windows when we are confident that this could be reduced.”
