AL-KO launch new aftermarket stabiliser

AL-KO Kober has announced the official launch of the AKS3004 stabiliser which is now available and can be retrofitted to all caravans that are built on the AL-KO chassis. The stabiliser can also be fitted to some caravans that use the BPW chassis.

The new design has been fitted as standard to a wide range of 2012 model year caravans and from 31 March will now be available for retrofitting to older caravans. The new stabiliser has undergone a number of changes to improve functionality and the cosmetic design. The new handle has been designed to provide more clearance when used with 4x4 towing vehicles that have a rear door mounted spare wheel. The new visual indicators on the front of the stabiliser will allow easier identification of when the friction pads and the tow ball is worn beyond safe use, prompting the user to maintain safe operation of the stabiliser.

There will be two boxed retail versions released at the end of March. The first version contains the Stabiliser, the AL-KO extended neck towball and a towball cover. This suggested selling price of this version will be £349.99.

The second version is a direct replacement of the previously very popular Triple Pack product which not only includes the new stabiliser, towball and towball cover, but also includes the AL-KO security hitch lock and safety ball. The suggested selling price of the Triple Pack boxed version will be £419.99 – representing a saving of around £30 compared with when the items are purchased separately.

The two kits should be available in dealerships and caravan accessory outlets soon and will also be available for purchase through the AL-KO website at al-ko.co.uk
