Five of the best show-stopping caravans

0a6adb21-2ce9-4646-9132-489f776e0a94
YOU want the best, the most luxurious, the most stylish. A caravan of which to be truly proud. We’re all the same. Caravanners,
I mean.

And whether a show-stopping caravan is within your bank-balance scope right now or not, the chances are you still enjoy taking a close look at what you just might buy next. Or what caravan your future lottery win might buy you.

We’ve picked some of the caravans most likely to impress you, for their style and level of equipment. These are right at the pinnacle of tourer design. Some, inevitably, are large and luxurious – but we’ve also included one which is the very opposite of both those things – and some which offer stunning value in family-caravan terms.

here are five show-stopping caravan suggestions:

Lunar Delta TI interior imageLunar Delta TI

AN island bed model in its leather upholstery option, the Delta hits most of the show-stopper buttons. Black granite-effect work surfaces have a high impact here, together with the black-fronted microwave oven, fridge and grey-fronted grill and oven – monochromatic, maybe, but utterly eye-catching. Triple-tone chenille curtains in cream, chocolate and tan soften the tone that’s altogether sumptuous and stylish.
The layout works well, too – the shower and washrooms are forward of the bed, opposite each other, so that the en-suite arrangements can be accessed easily by those sleeping in the lounge beds.
Accessories include AL-KO goodies, such as the ATC anti-snaking device and Secure wheel locks. An on-board water tank completes the package.

Fleetwood Heritage caravan interior imageFleetwood Heritage 640 ES(6)

WITH this black, white and grey “New Montana” upholstery option, the U-shaped lounge looks stunning. The grey carpet’s unusual, too. And notice the detail: buttons on cushions, shiny black faux-suede fabric.
Alde central heating takes up less space than the Truma system so you gain cupboard space; in this layout’s case, the gain is in the kitchen. There’s a full-size fridge/freezer and the kitchen has a cream granite-effect with feature tap. The blue LED lighting in the shower is a sight to behold.
This model has classic quality woodwork teamed with stark black and white soft furnishings (one of several option fabrics offered by Fleetwood) that make a great combination that should appeal to both fans of modern and more traditional looks.

Bessacarr Cameo caravan interior imageBessacarr Cameo 625GL

COUPLANDS Caravans and Brayford Leisure Caravan Centre now keep the quality-name Bessacarr alive following Swift’s decision last year to drop the range.
We picked the fixed-bed, washroom-across-the-rear layout for its sheer luxury. We liked that dare-to-be-different bold brown and cream leaf pattern with darkest brown edging, the deep-pile springy carpet, the scrolly Bessacarr and Cameo symbols on the mirror above the bed and on an upholstered feature on a panel beside the door – just in case you forget this is really a Cameo!
Spec includes Alde central heating, a full-size fridge/freezer, intruder alarm and underfloor 40-litre insulated water tank. It’s a mix of clean lines, pale woodwork modernity and stunning timeless rich brown upholstery.

Hymer Nova S546 caravan interior imageHymer Nova S546

DARK woodwork with cream insets on the lockers to define the furniture as a design feature, brown shiny curtains that reflect the light, cream voiles – and window shapes with a difference – these are the distinguishing features of the S546. And that’s before you examine that outstandingly solid build quality that marks out Hymers as of a different breed from British-made caravans. The leather upholstery comes in a choice of two colours. There’s electric underfloor heating, an on-board water tank and mains water connection for super pitches.

Steel reinforced side construction and ATC traction control make for a solid build and handling.

T@b caravan interior imageT@B CHIC

IS it a caravan? Or just a concept design dream? Traditionalist readers, accustomed
to thinking of caravans as white boxes on wheels, may blink and look away at this one. But – as the saying goes – think outside the box, for the German-built cute little T@B is truly a caravan. And it’s also a very good design concept.
Brilliant in colours, with bright yellow edging to its curvy grey lines, yellow gas bottle cover, the T@B’s un-caravan-like appearance is its appeal. Inside you’ll find palest woodwork and bold floral upholstery on the seat backs with bright green (T@B call it ‘magic green’) seat bases. Curtains are a cream and lime green crinkly fabric.
Styling is full of character, with porthole window, tiny kitchen with two-burner hob – – and huge double bed created from the U-shaped living area.
Fridge and heater are optional extras, and there’s a space for an optional portable toilet under a seat. The rear section of seating drops down to form either a single bed or, with table to meet it, a double that measures a huge 6ft by 6ft 5in.
