Exciting caravans for sale from Germany, now available in the UK
New for 2016 from the German caravan marque, T@B, are two new models available in four distinctive styles.
These diminutive, lightweight tourers with distinctive body shapes and porthole door windows get new exterior styling for 2016, too.
You can have your T@B with vibrant orange on the front, rear and patterned side panel, teamed with grey; that style is called Mexican sunset. Or you can choose Metropolis, which gets you a dark grey front, near and bodyshape outlines, with metallic sliver and a patterned grey-silver side feature.
You can go for the Off Road style, which is smart white and grey; this version has its spare wheel mounted on the sloping back, giving the caravan a slightly rugged look. Or you could put the B in subtle and plump for plain white.
Layouts
There are two layouts, a two-berth, and 3.2m long, with an MTPLM of just 750kg, and a three-berth, 4m-long version with an MTPLM of 1300kg.
We caught up with the Metropolis-styled new 320 RS from Adventure Leisure Vehicles of Cumbria and Gloucestershire.
The 320 RS, with an overall length of just 5.18m and a width of 1.99m, is available in a choice of six fabric styles.
How much do they cost?
The 320 RS pictured here is £13,000 on the road. The price includes a £995 delivery charge from German to the UK and a package of equipment fitted for the UK market.
This includes a 60-litre Dometic fridge, blinds and flyscreens, a Truma heater and £700 for the Metropolis styling option.
Also part of the £13,000 package is an on-the-road pack, of items including two gas cylinders, fresh and waste water containers and a mains hook-up lead.
The 320’s U-shaped seating makes a double bed, measuring 2m x 1.75m. The kitchen is at the front, equipped with a three-burner hob and sink, plus a cabinet alongside the fridge.
Smart uses of space
The seating is cleverly contoured to fit around the caravan shape, with backrests higher in the rear sector than along the sides; it feels comfortable and it’s beautifully upholstered in high quality fabric.
Storage pockets in hessian match the rear wall; there are side lockers and open shelving above the lounge. The woodwork quality is impressive, too, and the freestanding table feels sturdy.
All about T@B
Made in Germany by Knaus Tabbert, T@B caravans first appeared in 2004; their amazing shape and light weight revolutionised caravan design concept and presented awesome new options for seekers of lightweight tiny caravans.
T@B caravans are also at Springbank Leisure in Church Stretton, Shropshire and Southdowns Motorhome Centre in Portsmouth.
