Dog Beds for Car Boots: Keep your car clean and dry with a Modin Bed

Caravanners love taking their dogs with them on holiday. It's one of the great benefits of owning a caravan.

But, dog owners know how much mess the dog can bring into your car or caravan after a good walk. And, the dog's bed can soon become mucky. It can take ages to clean up your car, caravan and their bed. Is there a solution?

We asked Caravan Ambassador, Sharon Tomkinson, to try out the new Modin Bed, the Countryman, which are tough, well-designed dog beds. The Modin Countryman features an integrated, anti-spill water bowl, a heavyweight, easy to clean, waterproof outer fabric, and a comfortable foam mattress.

Sharon's review: Modin Bed Countryman

Having a young long haired, German Shepherd, I was really pleased to be asked to trial the new Modin dog bed.

I decided to use it in the back of my car, because my car boot space constantly has a soggy, hairy carpet.

When the bed arrived, I was disappointed to see that its shell was a waterproof heavy duty material rather than a soft fabric. And I assumed Max would not settle down on it. Anyway, we put it to its test and a very comfortable Max and I set off to the beach.

Integral water bowl

The bed has an integral non-spill water bowl which I thought Max would definitely be able to tip over. I hesitantly filled it with water !

Modin Bed Countryman

After our wild blustery walk and a lot of swimming in the sea, I returned a soggy Max to the car. He was happy to drink out of the bowl and, because it has a wide ‘lip’ around the top, he was not able to ‘paddle’ in it during the journey home.

When we got home, I literally took the bed out of the car and wiped it clean. But, most importantly, my car was dry!

I didn’t need to worry about the outer waterproof fabric because the bed is really supportive. The Modin Bed fabric also made cleaning and drying the bed really easy. I put it straight back in the car and don’t have that ‘damp-dog’ bed smell anymore.

10 out of 10 Modin. I’m going to buy another for Max’s caravan crate.

I found it so practical. My favourite features have to be the non-spill water bowl and its ease of cleaning.

10 out of 10 Modin. I’m going to buy another for Max’s caravan crate.

The Modin Bed Countryman comes in sizes from extra small to extra large, and costs between £46.99 and £69.99

Buy them direct from Modin Bed or Amazon UK
