Children have a play area to romp around in and there's also an on-site shop that offers locally-baked bread, milk, local farm eggs and other groceries.
For a more extensive shop you'll need to head to the attractive Victorian town of Lytham itself - which is a five-minute trip by car or motorhome or a 20-minute walk. As the terrain is flat it's also ideal for cycling.
Lytham Green is also nearby and offers a beautifully-preserved windmill, as well as bracing walks along the coast. The seaside dleight of Blackpool are numerous and include the famous tower, the trams on the seafront and - much beloved by child
The site is actually six miles away from Blackpool, with the pretty village of Wrea Green being just 2.5 miles away. The winner of Lancashire's Best Kept village in 2001 and centred around a large village green with a duck pond (know as The Dub) you'll find tearooms, restaurants and pubs here.
