Heligan Caravan & Camping Park is a five-star accredited campsite sitting high on a hillside in a small secluded landscaped garden with views out over Mevagissey Bay. It is naturally sheltered by beautiful woodland on the Heligan Estate, home of the famous Lost Gardens of Heligan. Hardstanding and grass pitches available, as well as tent only pitches. Campsite facilities include heated shower and toilet block, with a wet room, plus launderette, a small well stocked shop and a children’s play area.

Heligan Caravan & Camping Park is just off the B3273 having turned off the A390 at St Austell. The campsite has about 50 pitches suitable for caravans or motorhomes, including a few with hardstanding and another 30 or so pitches for tents. A tree-lined avenue leads into the campsite and there's a recently updated reception building with a shop, located to the right of the entrance.

It has an open parkland feel about the main area with a number of more secluded pitches on the perimeter.

The pitches are clustered together in small groupings that are ideal for convivial groups of families and friends, with the arrangement designed to give good views over the surrounding rolling countryside.

The new state-of-the-art amenity block is complete with private bathrooms, accessible wet rooms, a launderette, drying room and even a dog shower!

A few steps through a side gate leads directly to the entrance of the Lost Gardens of Heligan and whether you are a keen gardener or not this is a visit not to be missed. We absolutely guarantee that your camera will not stop clicking from the moment you begin your tour. It also has an excellent restaurant which you can you use without the need to pay for entry into the gardens.

With the Eden Project only 30 minutes’ drive away and Mevagissey, Charlestown and good beaches almost next door Heligan Woods makes an excellent base for this part of Cornwall.

This is a lovely small campsite with views across fields to the sea. It is high up and we visited during a windy week so it was cold and noisy at night with the wind! This was of course down to luck...
