Waterrow Touring Park (Adults only)

It comes as no surprise to find that Waterrow Touring Park is a registered Private Nature Reserve and a County Wildlife Site. Besides its many awards, the latest being ‘ Independent Park of the Year 2007’ this campsite is set in a beautiful woodland valley, with many riverside walks and lovely views - its owners call it ‘The garden in the Valley’ and we don’t see how anyone can disagree.

The 13-acre, hillside, adults-only campsite has been developed tastefully with 40 spacious pitches, screened by many flowering shrubs, including some single bay pitches. It's like pitching in someone’s garden, but no ordinary garden! All this and beautiful surroundings, some pitches have Wi-Fi broadband capability, full services and there are double hardstandings to cater for larger awnings.

All pitches have 16 amp electric hook ups, plus TV booster points. In addition to riverside walks, fishing is available from site. Waterrow also offer fly-fishing or watercolour painting courses during summer months. Excellent modern and clean amenities are unusually set in separate buildings within an old farm building. Comprising showers, privacy cubicles, hairdryers, shaver points and a disabled wet room. Here too, are information leaflets, laundry, freezer, washing up sinks and a payphone.

Park reception is situated in part of the house and stocks gas, plus some basic groceries and provisions, including frozen meals. Waymarked footpaths, riverside seats and the Rock Inn are just yards away. There are several woodland walks from the site leading down steps into the peaceful woodland towards the river. You could spend hours wandering down here just listening to the sound of the trickling water and looking for wildlife. Waterrow is an ideal tranquil location for a relaxing break or touring base.
