Walk off the winter wobble

IT"LL be here before you know it and, if you over-indulge this Christmas, you could walk it all off with the Ramblers’ Association’s Festival of Winter Walks, starting on Boxing Day (26 December 2006 - 2 January 2007).

Britain’s largest walking festival, attended by more than 15,000 people yearly, is a great opportunity to kick-start plans to get fit and healthy for the coming year. Hundreds of varied walks led by Ramblers members, all free and open to everyone, are planned throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Many are relatively short and, at an easy-going pace, suitable for all the family.
