Touring site in Shropshire under new ownership
The Cartref Caravan and Camping site, which is located five miles from Shrewsbury and Ironbridge, has been bought by Cartref Leisure Ltd with financial support from the Royal Bank of Scotland. The site offers 35 pitches in the family area, all with electric hook up, a mixture of grass and hardstanding. A further 11 hard standing pitches, all with electric hook-up, in a separate adults only area. There is a separate field with the children’s play area and dog walk.
The on-site facilities include toilet block with showers, privacy washbasins and hairdryer. There is a separate disabled wet room with ramp access, that can also be used as a family washroom. There’s also a laundry room with washer and freezer for ice packs.
Chris Towers, Director of Cartref Leisure, commented, “We are really pleased that our acquisition of Cartref Caravan and Camping has been successful. It is a lovely leisure site, a true hidden gem and we intend to continue to maintain and build upon the excellent standards achieved by its previous owners.”
Cartref Leisure is owned by Chris Towers and fellow Directors, Gordon and Sue Jones. Chris added, “This is the first time we have been involved in the takeover of a company and I’d like to thank the team at Royal Bank of Scotland for their support throughout.”
