The UK’s best small camp site

a4ff8baf-e778-4264-9837-7bc29966b5d7

John and Rita Congreve, owners of Rhyl Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site are the proud winners of the Best CS competition for 2005.

Members' comments on the site included: "We couldn't have chosen a nicer site. The garden is rich with flowers, they have a water feature and wild birds are everywhere." "The most friendly and helpful site I have visited in over 30 years." and "A gem of a site. A rural retreat in an urban area."

John said: "We started our site nearly 20 years ago with the aim to build it up from scratch - by members for members. We are very proud to be the first winners of this competition."

Certificated Sites are allowed no more than five caravans or motor caravans, but as many tents as space permits at any one time, to be occupied by club members on an authorised area of land. All provide facilities which, at the minimum, include fresh water and a chemical toilet disposal point, but many offer toilets, showers, electric hook-up and a whole lot more.

John and Rita will be presented with their prize on 20th February at the 2006 National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
