Southern Motorcaravan Show grows even bigger

The increasingly popular Southern Motorcaravan Show is returning once again this spring to its home on the Newbury Showground, Berkshire and takes place on 18th, 19th and 20th May.

Due to its increasing popularity, The Southern Motorcaravan Show exhibition area has been extended and offers a shopper’s paradise bringing together over 200 specialist outdoor exhibitors allowing visitors to see and compare thousands of products and prices conveniently in one place.

Visitors can enjoy looking at a broad variety of new and pre-owned motorhomes from many of the UK’s leading dealers including British, European and American models.

Alongside these will be thousands of outdoor leisure accessories including electrical goods, soft furnishings, garden furniture, clothing, footwear and much more.

Taking place at the same time is the ever popular Park & Holiday Homes Show where visitors can view a selection of park and holiday homes from major manufacturers who will be on hand to offer advice on the benefits of ownership.

Campers can save money by pre-booking their weekend in advance and are welcome on site from Thursday 17th May at 10.00am.

For as little as £9.50 per night (based on a pre-booked Club ticket), campers can enjoy FOUR nights' camping, THREE days' shopping and a full entertainment programme over the weekend.

Pre-book before 10am on Monday 30th April and stay from Thursday-Monday for £40, Friday-Monday for £37 and Saturday-Monday for £34.

The prices quoted are for up to two adults per unit and up to three children (5-14yrs). Additional adults are £15 each.

Campers will be able to pre-book a bus trip to Oxford where they can discover the beautiful and scenic city of Oxford.

See the film locations of the Harry Potter movies and see the landmarks which inspired Lewis Carol and his celebrated novel, Alice in Wonderland.

For those who enjoy books, don't miss the chance to see the renowned Bodleian Library.

The Botanic Gardens and Christ Church Cathedral are also well worth a visit along with Oxford Castle, the Oxford shops, the Oxford waterways and numerous historical and literacy tours.

Campers can enjoy FOUR nights of entertainment commencing on Thursday night with country music from Nancy Ann Lee followed by the sound of swing with popular Swing Commanders.

Friday night is Tribute Night with the music of David Essex, Rod Stewart and Abba. Travel back in time on Sunday night with The Dreamers, Edison Lighthouse and Dave Berry & the Cruisers.

Saturday night is ‘Cabaret Night’ and includes the UK’s No 1 tribute to Shirley Bassey followed by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Paradise Show with the music of Elvis, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran. (A separate ticket is required). Adult tickets are £10 and children £5.

If you can’t manage to camp for the weekend, you can still visit the show for the day. Admission rates are adults £6.50 and children £2.00.

This includes FREE parking and a FREE showguide. The exhibition area opens daily at 9.30am closing at 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 4.30pm on Sunday.
