Plan a relaxing day<br>with English Heritage

ENGLISH Heritage has launched a new guide aimed at helping users plan a relaxing day out to some of their most historic sites.

Called the Access Guide to English Heritage Properties, the guide aims to inform motorhomers, caravanners or campers of the accessibility of local sites for parents, the disabled or the elderly, for example.

Launched today, it ensures that those looking for day out can plan their knowing what facilities they will find on arrival.

Visitor operations director Rebecca Kane said: “It can be daunting to go anywhere new when you don’t know what the facilities will be like. This new access guide gives you all the information you’ll need to plan your day, plus a taste of the historic highlights our sites offer.”

The guide is available on the English Heritage web site at www.english-heritage.org.uk/accessguide or from English Heritage customer services on 0870 333 1181.

It is available in audio form, either on cassette or CD, as a PDF document which can be used with Screenreader software, as a word file with all formatting removed and pictures described, in Braille and in large print format on request.
