Outwell reveals new 2021 tent collection
Family camping specialist Outwell is launching 13 tents for 2021 with more new innovations and the return of a classic design feature.
The Scandinavian company will have a total of 49 tents available in six collections – three air and three pole – aimed at family campers.
Among the new features introduced in 2021 tents are Quick & Quiet Access doors on three-zone tents. The doors leading into the main living area feature a magnetic strip that runs down the centre and can be opened and closed easily without a sound with just one hand.
Ventilation is improved with the greater use of mesh panels on main doors and introduction of a larger rear vent. Mesh panels in the bedrooms are covered by curtains to tailor air flow and control light entry. The flysheet above the bedrooms is made from dark fabric to reduce light further, while a lighter fabric is used for the rest of the roof to brighten the living area.
The HookTrack System, introduced in 2020, continues in the new collection with Wing Lounges also appearing in more tents. All six-berth and above inflatable tents now have larger diameter, angled tubes at each end to aid stability in high winds and heavier duty zips have been introduced on main doors.
The new range also sees the return of the signature Outwell neon piping trim.
The updated Prime Air Collection introduces four new family tents, Oakdale 5PA, Birchdale 6PA, Pinedale 6PA and Sundale 7PA. They feature the Rigid Air System, with pre-bent tubes to maximise space and headroom. The Premier bedrooms feature the award-winning Quick & Quiet Inner Doors and the new Quick & Quiet Access on all three-zone models.
The award-winning Superior Air Collection features three new quality tents, all using the Power Air System with pre-shaped air tubes to maximise internal space and headroom. The
Ambassador Master Bedrooms have Dark Inners and Quick & Quiet Inner Doors. With mesh in the side doors, all porches and Rain Safe Doors feature sturdy aluminium poles and there’s Quick & Quiet Access doors on three-zone designs.
New for 2021, the Mountain Lake 5ATC has been added to the luxurious Imperial Air Collection, with breathable, long-life, technical cotton fabric and neon piping.
The pre-shaped, Gothic-style Rigid Air System ensures full standing height and innovations include the rear ventilation system, generous bedrooms, Dark Inners, and Quick & Quiet Inner Doors ensuring true sleep comfort. Zip-up curtains, HookTrack the Easy Pegging System and, in three-zone tents, Outwell Quick & Quiet Access add to the high-spec features.
