Haven Holidays invest £40 million in parks

HAVEN Holidays has announced £40 million in new facilities and new developments on its UK Holiday Parks – of which 23 offer touring facilities.

This summer Rockley Park (overlooking Poole Harbour, Dorset) and Seaview (Weymouth, Dorset) will be benefiting from a makeover with upgraded touring areas and new shower blocks.

There are also considerable improvements to the touring pitches and facilities at the Orchards (near Clacton-on-Sea), Lakeland (on the edge of the Lake District) and Kiln Park (adjacent to the superb beach at Tenby, South Wales).

New for 2010 is the introduction of touring facilities at Caister - the UK’s oldest family Holiday Park.

Swimming is even higher on the agenda at Haven for 2010. The Space Bowl at Haven’s Thorpe Park, near Cleethorpes proved a huge success in 2009 - and this year a similar flume is planned for Marton Mere, near Blackpool.

Rockley Park, in Dorset will benefit from a spectacular indoor tower flume and a unique ‘SplashZone Grotto’.

Several other parks will have makeovers to their swimming pools that will mean more fun, even more indoor swimming, attractive terraces for sun bathing and improved changing villages.

Haven Holidays are also investing in Adventure Golf courses, tennis and sports areas and children’s play areas.

And there’s going to be even more scope for those days when you just don’t feel like cooking - with new Mash and Barrel cafe lounges and Papa John’s pizzas coming to several parks.
