Escape to Cumbria for an Easter butterfly treat

Holgates Silverdale Park in Cumbria is offering families something extra special to make the most of England's glorious springtime.

Easter visitors to the award-winning park, which was recently voted 'England and Overall AA Campsite of the Year', will be amongst the first to see some of the UK's rarest butterflies emerging after the winter, whilst also enjoying an array of Easter events.

Over the Easter weekend the site will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt which will take people around the park's 100 acres and offers a fun way to discover the many tracks and trails, whether by foot or bike.

The park is nestled within the Cumbrian countryside in an unspoilt area of natural beauty. Holgates Silverdale's unique Butterfly Walk is home to rare species such as the Duke of Burgandy and High Brown Fritillary. April makes the perfect time for outdoor-loving campers to spot these creatures in their natural habitat which covers 50 acres of woodland around Silverdale.

After a day exploring, the on-site spa can provide rest and relaxation, alongside the heated pool, sauna and steam room.  For those with more energy to burn there's a gym, games room, outdoor adventure area and soft play area. A shop, restaurant and bar complete the range of facilities available.

An Easter break to Silverdale costs just £40 per night for a family of four, on a fully serviced pitch for a tent, caravan or motorhome, which includes use of the leisure facilities. Holiday homes can be hired for short or longer breaks too. Visit www.holgates.co.uk for more information.
