Doctor Who star Karen Gillan has revealed she is planning a summer of festival camping.
The actress – who plays the Doctor’s sidekick Amy Pond – will be taking part in a friend’s wedding at a festival in her native Scotland.
And she admitted camping at festivals is one of her favourite things to do.
Karen shot her final Doctor Who scene with co-star Matt Smith last Saturday and is currently in Cannes promoting her first movie.
Her movie, Not Another Happy Ending, will begin filming in Glasgow in July.
But the the 24-year-old revealed she’s going to be maid of honour at a friend’s wedding during the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival near Beauly, Inverness-shire, in August.
She’s also a regular at her local festival on the banks of Loch Ness.
Former model Karen, who was recently voted Scotland’s sexiest woman in an FHM magazine poll, told the Daily Record newspaper: “I love RockNess so much. I love festivals. They are one of my favourite things to do. I like getting into it and camping.”
