Superstar DJ Mark Ronson is to hit the main stage at Jamie Oliver's Big Feastival event this summer, it has been announced.

Ronson - who topped the charts with the multi-million selling Uptown Funk - will perform a DJ set at the foodie festival held at the Cotswolds farm of Blur star Alex James.

The bill will also include the Kaiser Chiefs, DJ Fresh, Roisin Murphy, Ella Henderson and Foxes. Organisers say a "very special guest headliner" will be announced later.

The festival, sponsored by NEFF, will also feature live cooking demonstrations from some of the world’s best chefs including Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, Tom Kerridge, Gizzi Erskine, Thomasina Miers and José Pizarro.

Award-winning street food stars Original Patty Men and The Cauldron will also be appearing.

Alex James said: “Each year the festival just gets better and with 2016 marking our fifth birthday on the farm; it promises to be the best year yet. Last year’s tickets sold out in record time and I predict this year to be no different so get in early!”

Co-host Jamie Oliver added: “The Big Feastival is one of my favourite weekends of the year - no other festival combines amazing music and incredible food in such a unique way and this year’s stellar line-up makes it unmissable!”

Festival-goers can also take part in hands-on foodie activities over the weekend including:

  • The Healthy Living Zone where festivalgoers can re-charge their batteries
  • Talks and tastings in The Wellness Kitchen
  • Food and drink master classes;
  • UK Festival Award-winning initiative, The Allotment Project
  • Interactive Cookery Schools with NEFF and Weber

For children this year’s Big Feastival will see performances from TV favourites and a programme of fun and games for all the family, including:

  • Cbeebies superstar Justin Fletcher
  • Dick and Dom
  • X Factor stars Reggie N Bollie
  • The Family Olympics
  • The  Little Dudes’ Den

The festival takes place on 26-28 August 2016. For ticket information visit www.thebigfeastival.com
