Dales website success

A TRAVEL website aimed at helping people find their way to and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park has been given a complete overhaul – because it has been so successful. In the last 12 months, the number of visitors to www.traveldales.org.uk has steadily risen to its present level of more than 2,000 a week.

The site is full of new and updated information so that, whether a visitor to the National Park or a resident, the website will provide all the information needed to travel around and enjoy this precious landscape in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

The website has downloadable maps including the Settle Loop – the first section of the Pennine Bridleway National Trail. In addition, the site has over 250 links to everything from local taxi companies to pony trekking operators as well as transport, cycling and walking news.
