A top campsite in Somerset has won the AA Campsite of the Year Award for Britain and Ireland 2013

To coincide with the launch of the AA Caravan and Camping Britain and Ireland Guide 2013, the AA has announced the winners of its yearly campsite awards. The winning campsites and touring parks, which cater for motorhomes, caravans and tents, have all shown exceptional quality and attention to detail, to make them stand out above the rest.

AA Best Campsite of the Year Overall Winner
The Old Oaks is an adult only touring park which as well as being an award winner, is part of our Premier Parks group of high quality campsites. Set close to Glastonbury Tor, the park is divided into separate landscaped areas with views to the Mendip Hills. The super pitches and
state of the art toilet block add to the luxury feel of this stunning campsite.

Details of all the award-winning campsites can be found in the guide, which features full details of over 900 inspected and rated campsites. The 2013 guide also has a useful section of 'Best for ...' giving information on the campsites the AA believe are the best for a variety of features, such waterside pitches, stunning views, fishing, on-site restaurants and kids.

The AA also offers the AA Camping Card Scheme for 2013 which entitles holders of the card to qualify for reduced rates at participating campsites. An AA Camping Card is included in every copy of the guide which is available from The AA Shop for £9.99 and as an app for iPhone, iPad and Android.
