What do you use it for?

We asked you to tell us what was your favourite uses for Duck Tape and you didn‘t disappoint. We were flooded with suggestions – some practical, some bizarre and some downright worrying. We’ll certainly be passing on some of them to the local constabulary. And let’s just say there are a surprising number of Camping readers who are also fans of the Fifty Shades Of Grey books and leave it at that ….

 
Here are just some of your uses for the tape:
 
  • Sticking my Bradley Wiggins sideburns down in the breeze
  • Stopping water getting in my tent
  • Wrapping Ducks. Works every time...
  • Repairing everythingDuck tape
  • Splinting my badly sprained ankle when out on Ben Nevis
  • Keeping the wife/husband/kids/boyfriend etc quiet…
  • Sole had come off my walking boot. Wrapped Duck Tape around and hey presto
  • Sealing my ground sheet
  • Mending split overtrousers
  • Fixing a tear in the seat of my walking shorts torn by barbed wire
  • Stopping my victims from screaming
  • Using on the kids’ hula hoops
  • Instant repairs to almost anything.
  • Patching the tent
  • Holding a broken rucksack together when trekking the Inca trail!
  • For taping down the boot of our car as the lock has broken.
  • A watertight seal on a ripped flysheet and a torn groundsheet
  • Would be over Boris Jonson’s mouth I think
  • I'm stockpiling it for when my daughter is old enough to bring home boyfriends
  • Removing verruca's from the foot
  • My own stupid mouth
  • Fixing fibreglass tent poles
  • Taping over power outlets so little fingers can't get in!
  • Used it on the inside of a skirt when my zip broke at a wedding
  • Reinforcing and waterproofing tent pole connections.
  • My son says that Duck Tape holds the world together!
